Did you know? From 2020 to 2023, Canada plans to welcome over one million new immigrants to obtain Canadian permanent residency. During your Nova Scotia Immigration journey, Maritimes Immigration Consulting is devoted to keeping you worry free.

First thing’s first, if you’re looking to immigrate to Canada, you need to know HOW to get started. An immigration consultant will provide the most recent information and tips while saving you loads of time, but here’s a quick overview of three common Atlantic Canada Immigration options...

Express Entry

Through Express Entry, immigrants can live and work in Canada as a skilled worker. This means that they will be benefiting the economy by contributing their skills, and in return, they can settle in Canada permanently. There are three express entry programs in Canada (Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class). Nova Scotia has a specific Express Entry stream that gives 600 points to selected candidates.

AIPP

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program was developed specifically for the Atlantic provinces. Unlike the Express Entry program, AIPP is not points-based and age and fluency in the language are not determinant factors for those who want to immigrate to Canada.

PNP

The Canada Provincial Nominee Program is becoming a popular way to immigrate to Canada in the last decade. Though most Canadian provinces such as Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia offer a PNP immigration option, all applicants require a solidified job offer from a Canadian employer in order to qualify.
