Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
The Atlantic Immigration Program, former AIPP, is one of the most popular immigration programs in Canada. The AIP is available in the 4 Atlantic provinces:
-Nova Scotia
-New Brunswick
-Prince Edward Island
-Newfoundland and Labrador
There are many advantages of applying for Permanent Residency through the AIP, like lower language proficiency, no age restrictions and the option to apply for a temporary work permit if you are currently living outside Canada. You could also apply for an open work permit for spouse.
The first step is to obtain a valid job offer from a designated employer. This company has already applied and obtained designation from the provincial government to hire foreign workers. We encourage our clients to look for a job offer using well known websites, like: Indeed, Career Beacon, Job Bank and LinkedIn.
There are three different types of the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP):
International Graduate Program: if you studied at a public college or university in Atlantic Canada for 2 years or more, you may be eligible to apply for PR under the AIP International Graduate
High Skilled Program: this program is available for those applicants who have work experience in NOC 0, A or B.
Intermediate Skilled Program: the AIP Intermediate Skill program is available for those applicants who have experience in a position NOC C.
