You can test your eligibility here through various questions about your personal and work history. Based on your responses, www.cic.gc.ca then gives you a list of Canadian immigration options and step-by-step instructions on how to apply.
HOW TO APPLY?
1. Requirements for canadian citizenship include:
being a permanent resident
living in Canada for at least 3 out of the last 5 years
passing a citizenship test
proving your language skills in English or French
2. Gather your citizenship Canada application documents
In applying for immigration, you will need to submit the following documents with your application…
Photocopies of two (2) pieces of personal identification – Examples include driver’s license, health insurance card, PR card, an official passport copy, etc.
The original printout of your Online Physical Presence Calculation or form CIT 0407 (PDF, 1.8 MB)
Colour photocopy of all pages of your passport or travel document(s) during your eligibility period, including the biographical page that includes your name, photo, date and place of birth, passport/travel document number, issue date and expiration date.
Photocopies of your proof of English or French language ability.
3. Complete your citizenship application form found in your immigration guide.
4. Pay your Canadian citizenship fees
To submit your application, there is a processing fee of $530, and a right of citizenship fee of $100.
5. Submit your application.
Once ALL the previous steps have been completed, you can now successfully submit your application and begin your journey to live in Canada.
