PNP by Province: PEI Provincial Nominee Program
Whether it’s the notorious red PEI dirt or the calm, country-living atmosphere, coastal immigration to PEI is very sought after in Canada.
If you are looking for permanent residency on the beautiful gold coast of PEI, one way to obtain it is to be nominated through the PEI provincial nominee program.
The PEI PNP is Prince Edward Island’s Provincial Nominee Program. Through the PNP, immigrants with the appropriate skills and/or experience may apply to be nominated by the federal government for Atlantic Canada immigration. This will allow them to work and live in the province, while contributing to the labour market needs in PEI.
The province has three different immigration streams, consisting of Express Entry, Labour Impact, and Business Impact.
Let’s start with Express Entry:
An immigrant is eligible for the Canada Express Entry program when they have an active federal express entry profile and have expressed their interest of living and working in the province
Now, The Labour Impact:
This program is for foreign workers and recent graduates who have already been hired by a PEI employer. PEI PNP may provide them a faster path to Canadian permanent residency, IF they are endorsed by the province.
Lastly, The Business Impact:
You may be interested in the business impact program if you are launching a business or investing in a new or recognized PEI business.
The NEW Atlantic Immigration Program
The AIPP, Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program, closed in 2021. It’s been replaced by the new Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), with slight different eligibility requirements and application process.
